AT&T Cable Removal Project

20 pair cable and 4 foot deep trench
Chet Allapowa permitted over 440 miles of a construction project to remove a buried cold war era phone cable. The effort included permitting at all levels of government for stream crossings, railroads, highways, National Grasslands, and other utility lines.

Cristin Cochran completed an ASTM based environmental review to assess potential environmental hazards for worker health and safety, corporate liability issues, and to design compliance strategies for threatened and endangered species and cultural resources for a 440 mile cable removal project from Lamar, Colorado to Fairfield, Kansas. With the environmental assessment in hand, construction work was successfully phased to meet various regulatory requirements and client timelines.
